Under the guidance of William A Forsythe, he has worked with artists such as Marcia Hines and Aaron Farley. Josh has extensive experience as a commercial dancer at corporate events. West Side Story is his professional stage debut.
A-RabNicholas hails from Orange in NSW and began his training aged eight. A graduate of Brent Street performing arts centre, Nicholas’ amateur theatre credits include Mame, Wizard of Oz, Suessical the Musical, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Grease, Hairspray and Mary Poppins. Other credits include national TV advertising campaigns. West Side Story is his professional stage debut.
Baby JohnChristian is from Melbourne and began his dance training aged four under the direction of Natalie Pryor. He attended Patrick Studios Australia and worked closely with director Todd Patrick. Throughout his training, Christian worked alongside Andrew Lloyd Webber in Love Never Dies for the Melbourne season. He also worked with UK superstar Robbie Williams in The Swing in 2014.
Snow BoyOriginally from country NSW, Nathan graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in dance. While studying, Nathan performed in several lead roles including Ren in Footloose, Romeo in Timothy Harbour’s version of Romeo + Juliet and Waltz Man in Balanchine’s Serenade. Nathan is ecstatic to be making his professional debut with this production of West Side Story.
Big DealOriginally from New Zealand, Blake grew up dancing under the tutelage of Corinne Yee and performed with the National Youth Theatre Company. In 2017, he moved to Sydney to study at Brent Street performing arts centre, where he attained a Diploma of Performing Arts. He has worked in a number of performances including The Voice Australia and Oh What a Night Premier Gala Concert. West Side Story marks Blake's professional theatre debut.
DieselSebastien began his dance training at the Conroy Dance Centre in Brisbane before joining ED5International in Sydney under the guidance of William A. Forsythe. He has performed alongside Minnie Cooper and Marcia Hines and film credits include Swinging Safari and Bullets for the Dead. Sebastien is overjoyed to begin his musical theatre career in West Side Story.
AnybodysMolly began her training as a toddler and worked her way through the A-Live Performing Arts Centre and Penrith Conservatorium of Music in western Sydney. She was cast in A-Live Entertainment’s Music In Motion and Loud Theatre Company’s production of Footloose. On screen, Molly has appeared in a number of national advertising campaigns. West Side Story is Molly’s professional musical theatre debut.
GraziellaFrom Sydney, Tash has trained since she was three in all dance styles, singing and acting at the Australian Performing Arts College (APAC). Tash has performed in Peter Combes’ production Bellyflop on a Pizza and played the role of Stephanie in a two-man version of Lazy Town. Natasha is ecstatic to be making her musical theatre debut in this production of West Side Story.
VelmaAngelica Di Clemente trained at the Steps Dance Centre in Brisbane. Performing since the age of three, she gave her professional debut aged 11 in the Brisbane cast of Gordon Frost's production of Annie the Musical. She has also performed in a variety of lead rolls in student and community productions.
MinnieTaylah hails from Perth and trained as a classical ballet dancer since the age of two. She studied at the West Australian School of Dance and won the Pre-professional award at the Royal Academy of Dance Festival of Dance in May 2018. Soon after a secondment with the Australian Ballet Company, Taylah accepted the offer to join the cast for the 2019 Australian West Side Story production.
ClariceSarah is originally from Adelaide and is a graduate of the Brent Street performing arts centre in Sydney. She’s performed in a number of productions in Australia and Europe and performed in Hong Kong, Paris and London with the Australian Youth Classical Ballet Company. Sarah is thrilled to be joining the cast of West Side Story which is her professional debut in Australia.
SwingJade started ballet at the age of three in Singapore and upon moving to Cairns with her family in 1996, continued her training at Turning Pointe Dance Studios. In 2005, at just age fourteen, Jade relocated to Melbourne to train at The Australian Ballet School. In 2008 she continued her dance training at Queensland University of Technology graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance). Professional dance credits include Launch Pad (Expressions Dance Company), In One Day (Melbourne Ballet Company). Jade’s passion for her craft has seen her embrace all aspects of the theatre and performance world and led to her musical theatre debut in the Australian tour of The King and I (Opera Australia and GFO). Other credits include the iconic role of ‘Victoria the White Cat’ in the Australia/New Zealand tour of Cats (Lunchbox Theatrical Productions & The Really Useful Group), The Love for Three Oranges (Opera Australia) and most recently Evita (Opera Australia and GFO). Jade is very excited to be a part of the Australian company of West Side Story.
SwingA graduate of Brent Street Performing Arts, Joe made his musical theatre debut in A Boy From Oz (The Production Company) in 2018. Previously he performed with Marko Panzic’s The Dream Dance Company on the Genesis tour; was awarded a scholarship to train at New York City’s Broadway Dance Centre and has performed on TV shows XFactor AU and Dance Boss. Other credits include Opera Australia's Turandot and The Nose. Joe is overjoyed to be a part of this West Side Story cast.
SwingDaniel has studied dance since he was a child, learning ballet, tap and jazz as well as acting and singing. This led him to study at The Next Step Performing Arts dance studio in Sydney. Daniel is excited to be joining the cast of West Side Story which will be his professional stage debut.
